This picture of the sun setting over Bamburgh Castle is one of my favourites.
You have to be in the right place at the right time of year to get this shot. And Lady Luck has to smile on you with the right weather conditions.
When I saw the sun heading for the horizon, I knew there was a shot in the making. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera on me at the time. I had to run back to our holiday let and fetch it. Fortunately there was just enough time and I took a dozen or so shots before the light and colour faded.
To bring out the colour in the sky, it was necessary to underexpose the picture by a couple of stops which also helped throw the castle into silhouette.
Happy Shooting,
Janice
